[Error: unknown template qotd]Prisoner of Azkaban has always been my favorite, since I first read it, and I still stand by it. Why? The lack of Voldemort, for one. As villains go, he's pretty great, but I did like the break. Also Sirius and Remus, and their connection to Harry's parents. They were both great parental figures, and it was nice to see a competent DADA teacher for once.

The Dementors were another factor. PoA makes it clear that things are getting worse, it's not mere child's play anymore (arguably it never was, but the danger always seemed limited to Harry & co. Dementors affect everyone). Harry's really starting to grow up here. There's the symbolism of his Nimbus 2000 being destroyed. I remember being quite shocked by that when I first read it.

Now if I had to pick the most satisfying moment in the books...

Neville. Snake. Fuck yes.

[Error: unknown template qotd] En français... D'accord!

[Error: unknown template qotd]A bit hard to answer, but I know I would've been called Thomas if I would've been a boy (Thomas, incidentally, is also the name of one of my original characters. If you ever see him show up in fanfic, you can slap me because he's very nearly a self-insert). I'm rather fond of Ilona, but I don't ever want to be called Hélène or Helen. I don't have anything against either name, but they're just not me.

There's also Maya, but she's another character of mine (I tend to give all the names I like to my characters).

Oh, and of course there's my Chinese name, Guo Wei Heng (郭蔚恒). Means 'Forever Sky Blue'.

In other news... London )

[Error: unknown template qotd]Oh, that's an easy one. Everyone and their dog already knows my given name is Heleen, and Heleentje is just a Dutch diminutive form. So yeah, it means 'little Heleen'. The reason why I chose it... Well, the first forum I ever posted on already had a Heleen, and so I picked Heleentje. Didn't even like it at first, but it stuck, and it's become my username pretty much everywhere
