... so of course, I'm not.
Yeah, Torchwood was on yesterday and I'm still fangirling quite a bit.
I didn't think this episode was as good as the last one, honestly. The plot was... I don't know, it missed something. Though the actress who played Beth (can't remember the name, sorry!) was absolutely fantastic.
Concerning characters, I actually liked Gwen in this episode, especially when she and Ianto hook arms. That really made me realise how much closer the team has gotten during Jack's absence. Also, kudos for not making the final Gwen/Jack scene feel shippy.
Jack was good, but really dark here, and during the 'mind probe' scene, I really thought he was taking it too far.
Loved Tosh hacking into the military database and Owen spraying his plants. And the needles. My aunt actually commented there: 'he's not a very good doctor, can't even stick a needle right' (she's had her fair share of bad doctors and nurses, so I understood her remark)
Ianto, well... I alternated between squeeing like the fangirl I am and being annoyed. The Jack/Ianto scene ('for as long as it takes, terrifying') made me go starry-eyed, but his electrocution impression left me with a sort of 'bleh' feeling. Then again, 'I know everything, and it's on the bottom of the screen', 'He is dashing, you have to give him that', and the bedside manners dialogue made me love him even more than I already do.
All in all, enjoyable, but not as good as 'Kiss kiss bang bang'. Definitely an improvement compared to the first season, though.

Gem Beasts in GX next week! I'm counting down the days 'till Johan returns. I guess I''ll be hated for this, but i don't particulary care for Saiou. His hair creeps me out. Though seriously, first getting f*cked over by the Light, and then by Darkness? That's really having bad luck...
